Angelite, also known as anhydrite or angel stone, is a striking glacier-blue color with snow-white flecks. The stone is highly waxed for improved polish and luster. Color varies from bead to bead. The stone pietersite, also called "eagle's eye," was named in honor of its discoverer, Sid Pieters, who found it originally in Namibia, Africa. Pietersite is a rare variation of tigereye and sometimes possesses blue flecks throughout.
